I was referring to the gens of engine that existed at the time of the 326 and the 66/67 body, but sure in the later ones.  Though you would never mistake a 70 for a 66/67 if you thought you were racing a GTO with a 326 which sounded like the thought.

That's wasn't a reference to 389 but the Lemans's joke name. If it had a 326 (the smallest or wee....) then it would have been a lemans since GTO's never came with 326 in 66/67. Not that folks didn't pimp the hoods of real GTO to make it look like one. Maybe in this case they didnt swap out the engine badges?

My parents had a Pink and white 56 Buick.

My first one was a 57 chevy 210 station wagon, 235 6cylinder and 3 on the tree.  It was in my price range $185 bought before I got my drivers license.
