I carry Ruger SR9 loaded with +P and a NAA 22 mag bug. Most days, but sometime I do like to change it up. Just depends on where I am going and what I am wearing.

When I get my permit, I will carry a Sig P228

Excellent choice. The P228 is my EDC.

Anybody here have experience with a Glock 30 .45ACP as their EDC? I'm considering that as my next firearms purchase.

I have went back and forth on several guns. In the colder part of the year, I carry a 9mm S&W 5904. Its a police trade in that is reliable. The finish is worn so I dont have to worry about scuffs (because I will find a way). Most of the year I carry my Colt Mustang in .380. Most scoff at the little girl, but it will do the job. I also leave the house with a Spiderco, and cell phone. But the most important thing I take is a sense of my surroundings (my spidey sense). Always watch and evaluate the people arround you. The best way to win a gunfight is to avoid one.

My .02 cents
