Hey boys and girls, as some of you know I'm a member of the Patriot Guard Riders and my West TN ride captain sent this out to us. I thought I would pass it along.

I come to you with a heavy heart about a little boy named Tyler Murphy. Tyler is 8 months old and is in St.Jude fighting for his life, you see Tyler has a very aggressive disease called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis, this disease is very painful and attacks the bones. Tyler is the son of Pvt Adam Murphy out of the National Guard in Ripley 268PM company. Tyler is at risk for other health problems and has to be on chemo for a year to treat this disease and has a 75% survival rate but that can be reduced if the disease spreads to his organs. Tyler has been sick since he was 2 months old and has been in pain for all this time, talk about a trooper. This disease only rears its ugly head in 1 out of 1million babies and is very rare. Tyler has had 3 blood transfusions 1 round of platelets, he is on morphine for the pain and has a feeding tube and has had 2 chemo treatments and all of this since his diagnosis on February 4th 2009. Tyler's parents are out of work, his mother by choice quit her job to care for him but his dad was laid off a little over a month ago. Tyler also has 3 brothers and sisters, one is in school and the other two are being cared for by family. Tyler's parents have had to move out of their home and are looking at loosing their car because of financial strain. Regions Bank has opened an account for monetary donations for the Murphy family, to help them with bills, travel, and everyday expenses. To donate to this family you can go into ANY Regions bank and ask to donate to the { Special fund account for Tyler Murphy} if you do this outside of the state of Tennessee please let the teller know that it is a TN account. The family asks for you hope and prayers, and thanks you for your gift. If you happen to be in the Memphis, TN area and want to see the Murphy family they are on the 2nd floor, you can get the room number from the nurses desk. I personally want to thank you for your time in reading this and hope you will pass it along to as many people as you can. If you need to contact me my number is 731-780-7148 and I have voice mail so you can leave me a message if I don't answer, also my email is cassandrareeder@yahoo.com. I am in the process of trying to get some pictures of Tyler so let me know if you want one.
