I just picked up a used one from Armslist for cheap and would like opinions from current owners. Thanks.

I have the FNX 9 and FNP 45 but nothing in .40cal. I love both of those guns. They never jam with whatever kind of ammo I use and I always hit what I'm aiming at as long as I do my part right. Go out and shoot yours and you will see what I mean.

Congrats.   @DaveTN will be along shortly and expound on the merits of the caliber.   :)

Bill seems like an intelligent guy that can figure stuff out on his own; I (or any one of our other heavy caliber shooters, that don’t scream like little girls about felt recoil) won’t need to expound.

I have a Sig 229 in .40 and I reload the caliber. I was wanting to know about reliability and parts wear/breakage after extended use over the course of a few years. I'm wanting a replacement practical pistol match gun to replace my West German made Sig 226 as it has been used enough for the last few years.

The pistol was purchased in 2012, shot 60 rounds of Federal aluminum 180 FMJ, the other 40 came with the gun. Cleaned and it sat in a nightstand drawer ffor the next 7 years. I paid $425.00 OTD and came with three 14 round mags, case and manual
