My Sigs

I've never made a secret of the fact that my first loves in handguns have always been S&W revolvers and 1911s. However, in the category of DA/SA semi-autos, my preference runs to Sig Sauer. More specifically, the older all metal Sigs preferably made in Germany. Honestly, the newer plastic Sigs do nothing for me and I have no interest in them. I currently own four.

As you can see, I have a liking for the Hogue smooth wooden grips. I'm also a big fan of the Short Reset Trigger kit (SRT) and all my guns have them.

P220: .45 acp made in Germany 1996

P226: 9mm made in W. Germany 1990

P228: 9mm made in W. Germany 1994

P239: 9mm made in USA 2009

I actually traded my way into the P239. Wasn't sure if I was gonna keep it. But all it took was one trip to the range to convince me that its a keeper. :D

I also have a .22LR conversion kit for the P226 and its a hoot! I love it!

Any other Sig Sauer fans here? Post your pics!

Adding my Sig to the list. I replaced my EDC Shield 9 with a Sig P365XL. I love it.

In addition to the 12+1 capacity, I chose the P365XL for the RedDot capability. After waiting (and waiting and waiting) for Sig to release more Romeo Zero optics, I went with the Shied SMSc.

it installed easily, 4MOA, can’t wait to dial it in. It looks like the built in rear sight will co-witness with the Sig front sight. I will check that at the range.

I still have orders for a Romeo Zero, and a Holosun HS507K with OpticsPlanet. Since neither are scheduled to ship for over a month, I figure I can wait to cancel the orders

Unfortunately the holster I use was not designed for a RD Optic installed. I had to use my dremel to modify the shape and I had to move on of the screws to a new location. It worked out great. (The other holes were drilled to try and install the Kydex on a Ventcore backing).

I am just the opposite. I bought a P220 DA/SA in 1988 as my duty weapon. I quickly discovered that I hated the gun. I didn't like the DA to SA change. It was just too weird for me. And although I could shoot the bull's-eye out of the target with a 1911, it seemed like I was all over the place with the Sig. I quickly sold it for a Glock 22. The Glock still didn't feel right in my hand but at least I could shoot it better than the Sig. I looked down on Sig until I held a P320. I now have 2 P320s in .357 Sig - full size and carry size.
