ISO Kydex OWB Holster

Recommended Posts

Looking for a quality Kydex OWB holster manufacturer. I know a lot of guys are making them but most the ones I’ve seen just don’t lol like a quality holster. Looking for a 80/20 split. Any recommendations??

Best quality will be a Garrett. They are Kydex lined with leather but they are pricey.$80-$110 and they are made to order so there will be a wait.I have a G-Code for my G17 it’s a good quality holster.Ready Tactical and Comp Tac are other good holsters.Expect to pay at least $60 for one.Blade Tech still makes holsters of Kydex but you have to order it from the website. The $30 ones they sell through vendors are injection molded plastic.

Squared away customs has made a handful of holsters for me and I have always been impressed with the quality, but there is a decent wait time (not uncommon).  I recently picked up a QVD holster for my G19 and it seems to be equally impressive.

P J holsters, are the ones I use with my Walthers. They are simple, light weight, kydex ( not thin ), $55 , free ship, there is usually a week waiting period, as they are hand made.

There are any number of holsters out there. Usually trial & error. Good luck.

I’ve found some quality holsters, but I’m having trouble finding anyone that makes a 80/20 split, most guys are making 50/50 split which is easier and faster for them to punch out.

No idea about the 80/20 jazz, but just got a g-code OWB and its built like a tank. Has their fancy quick change which I’m trying but they have it without also. Shipped in 3 days... No, really.

Not certain either by what you mean with an "80/20 split." I will say that DSG manufactures quality gear including their own proprietary holster line with varying designs. Again I'm unclear if its what you're after but just incase it is or "close enuff" here's a link. If not, disregard.

That’s similar to the holster I ordered. I do like the low profile of that holster. I do not like Kydex holsters that are huge in size. Give me enough holster to cover the key elements of the firearm, trigger and mag release and that’s it.

+1 on the Fury Carry Solutions Kydex holsters out of Maryville. Just received mine last week. Awesome quality, different colors available, fits my SIG P320 M17 (w/red dot) like a glove and awesome customer service. Mine took approx. 4 weeks to get and they let you know the lead time on each holster so you know up front before you order. I also have Blade Tech and Crossbreed Kydex holsters which have been solid as well.

Just ordered a Fury Concealment OWB yesterday. 5-6 weeks. Wife keeps shrinking my pants 😆. IWB is on hold for a few months.

I have 2 of the Fury holsters.   They both have a very satisfying snap in and out and just the right amount of forward cant.  I put "pancake wings" on both because they are just easier for me to take on and off that way.
