Of the last seven handguns I have acquired, only one has been a full sized or service pistol, a Taurus Tracker Model 627 .357 Mag.聽 The rest have either been compacts, subcompacts or mouse guns.聽

What's the last service or full sized pistol you bought?

What was the last compact or subcompact pistol you bought?

Which came first?

And GO! :)

Of the last four聽pistols I bought, three聽were聽service pistols. A聽Browning HiPower, a Beretta 92g, a Springfield Hellcat, and a Charles Daly HiPower. In that order.聽

My next 鈥減istol鈥澛爌urchase will be an HK SP5. Does that count as a service pistol? 馃槀馃槀

The last pistol I bought was an LCP for my son鈥檚 21st birthday.

The last one I bought for me was a CZ75. That鈥檚 full size I suppose.

In my mind I only buy a full size gun if its pretty, rare, or unique because small guns are handier and easier to conceal.聽 That being said the last full size gun I bought brand new was probably a Sig 1911 POW edition...I don't really buy anything new anymore rather let someone else take the "hit".聽 The last full size I acquired was an FN Hipower because it was super unique (deep blued, SFS system, etc)...unless you count my Kriss Vector with PSB lmao.

Sure. All my range guns or target guns are full size. Compacts, especially Micro compacts are pretty useless for that application.聽:)

The last full size handgun that I bought was a P320 9mm re-tubed to .357 Sig. Not that I carry it since I also have a P320 Carry in .357 Sig.聽

How topical! I watched a video on .357 Sig this morning.聽

I've reached the point that I don't need anything. I have guns to cover all occasions. So I just buy what I like.聽

Had to think about it. The last compact I got was about a 1 1/2 ago when I traded for a Sig P239. Everything I've bought since has been full size.聽

Need a Glock 45 now so I can go David's route. My next purchase聽 will be the G45 or if the railed 48 ever comes over I'll buy that.

I prefer the extra 150 fps. The 9mm may reach the kill zone but the extra umph of the .357 Sig ensures it, IMHO.

EDIT: I also don't really notice the difference in recoil in a semi-auto. But I'm a big fella with big hands so that may make a difference.

I don't have any "small guns"....all of mine are full size. I started carrying when the really had very few small guns...at least none worth carrying in my opinion. So I'm used to it and feel kinda nekkid with anything else. Now the missus has a couple and she's fine with them.

My聽first pistol is also my only true full size, a Ruger P85. All the others are smaller. 聽

My current idea is for my next purchase to be a what I'd call a modern compact as聽it really isn't much smaller physically, it's just thinner and lighter than a full size.聽

1st, Dan Wesson 357 pistol pack, 2",4", 6", and 8" barrels(wish I still had it)

Many in between, largest Ruger SB, 44mag, smallest, Bauer 25ACP.

Last was an AR in 5.56.

Just bought a Sig P320 X5 Legion (longest name ever) to hopefully start shooting some comps. Guns I bought before that: Glock 45, Sig P365XL and P320 X-Carry. All within the last 2 months 馃槄

My last three were a full-sized Beretta 92, a Browning High Power Competition, and a CZ-75 Phantom SP-01.聽聽聽 I rarely buy compacts because all they're good for is carrying and I already have plenty for that role.
