Friend sent me this Review of a TAURUS G3.

Looks good, but I don't have a NEED at this time, not much into that size gun for carry and not into 9MM for target shooting (AMMO costs too much - ues 22 for targets).  Maybe be a want, not need someday. LOL

There is a great deal of similarity in the inner workings of the Millennium G2 (my gun), the G2C, and this G3.

Based off my experience with the G2, I would most certainly look at this pistol, if I were looking for a budget priced full sized handgun.  These seem to be running under $250 around here.

If the trigger doesn't suck like the G2, that would be the biggest improvement.

Other than having a rather long reset, I have no issues with mine.  Now it's nowhere close to the trigger my LC9S Pro is, granted.

Reset is good on my G2, has a long pull back to the break point and that use to be scratchy (not anymore).  I consider the trigger OK.

The rear sight is off putting to me. Why they did not go with Glock type sights is strange since the rear sight cut is different from any I have seen.

Frame seems very rough and accuracy is average.

Just my opinion.

Well, got my hands on one. The grip is similar to the texture of the M&P 2.0. The trigger is long but smooth, the reset is considerably short, the finish is not stellar, but it's a sub $300 gun. And, as the G2, Canik mags fit it. The 15 rd Canik mags fit as flush as the Taurus mags.

I really wish the trigger take up wasn't so dang long, but it is smooth. Anxious to try one on paper to see what it does.

You think I should buy a G3 to use all those Canik mags I have? lol

I actually do have several "extra" mags. Don't want to run out.

Yes, I believe you should. From us. 😉

I have seen where there is a company making a optics mount that goes into where the rear sight sets.

Also there are a few companies making night and fiber optic sights for the G3.

I believe the G2/G3 sights are the same.

I have put some more rounds thru the G-3, had one fail to feed from the 17 round mag. The 15 rounder failed 3 times to lock the slide back, I cleaned the mag and had no more problems.

So far I do not think I would carry as a self defense pistol yet. I am getting better with accuracy and find it shoots a little better than at first, may be me.

Interesting to get some comments from users (that is folks on the Forum - as can always see what U-Tube Reviews).

Not that I am personally interested in the G3, just don't have a need (except just to shoot it as another gun, shucks like to shoot all guns - ain't gonna happen).

Went to Point Blank in Knoxville, after work to look for a holster for my LC9S. Didn’t find one and wasn’t that impressed with their store either. However, they are advertising the G3 for $229.99.

If you are a member of the NRA, there is a great article on the G3 in the latest issue of the American Rifleman.  I know Taurus gets a bad rap, but I have always been pleased with the ones I have owned.
