i have decided to keep the ithaca regardless of the grade.

Good for you. There are only so many of those guns and there will be less in the future. They were well made guns and all of the old well made guns will continue to be worth more.

It is part of Americana. There will be no more shotguns made like those old ones, nothing against the new SxS, but it isn't the same.
