Bayonet legality

I picked up a Yugo SKS today, and had a quick question.

It has a bayonet that folds back into the stock, and is not easily removed and reattached.

Is there any law against going into public (mainly the range) with the bayonet still attached to the rifle, but in the folded position, or is it up to the ranges discretion?

The two ranges I frequent are On-Target in Murfreesboro and the Outdoor range on Hobson pike.

Nope. No law.

If a range was potentially anal i could see it...

But even the TWRA ranges arent that picky.

I take it you haven't been to the beautiful TWRA range in Cheatham? :(

I think one could get away w/ throwing hand grenades out there...

Things used to get thrown all over the place up on Aetna Mtn back in the 80s :(

extend it when you shoot, its more funner that way.

Let's not, and say we did.

Just don't charge the target with pig-sticker extended hollering Banzai or some other nonsense if you don't hit the bullseye. :( Especially when the line is hot.

It's going to be hard to ignore all that Marine conditioning to charge the target once I'm out of ammo.

a few weeks ago i actually saw this. i was with other tgo members at the montgomery county shooting complex and there where a whole gaggle of hispanic guys at the end of the rifle range. one of them had a rifle with what looked like a 3 foot bayonet hanging off the front. It was the funniest thing that I had seen in a while.

If it was a Mosin, that's the way it's supposed to be shot.
