Saw this plane going over head today, have no idea what it is, anyone knowledgeable can identify it?

Love 'em and hate 'em at the same time. That airframe can do it all. From cargo hauling to Elint to Direct fire support it's an amazing (if uncomfortable) plane. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_C-130_Hercules

There's an Air Guard wing that flies them out of Nashville (or maybe Smyrna.. not sure).

Thanks, my first guess was c-130 but the "bulges" on the fuselage in the aft section really confused me.  Thanks Garufa!!!

My uncle was a General in the TN Air Guard and flew c-130’s in Desert Shield.

A Herc model of some type. I love those things, they can fly with one engine and slow enough to jump from without any problems, either from the doors or ramp.

I grew up in NW Ohio an I seem to remember back in the mid to late 60s a loaded C130 mading a bad landing at the Toledo airport, with one set of wheel hitting first it cracked the foot thick main runway putting it out of commision for a long time while they did repairs.
