Hmm, what is this?

So while picking up a new gun a couple of weeks ago, I was talking to the guy behind the counter like normal and somehow we got on Mountain Lions.  He said there had been some spotted in middle TN and at first I was skeptical, but my parents said it was also mentioned on the news after I told them about it.  He said he thought I could be in the area they had seen some.  So, while checking cameras this evening, the very first picture is of course this grainy night shot about as far away as you can get.  I don't know if it is simply mental fixation on it, but this doesn't look like a coyote to me due to the gate.  Looks bigger than a bobcat, but can't see any tail due to location.

What do you guys think.  I posted the full size pic.  Not sure if it will resize when posting, but if you click on it twice it should show full size.spacer.png

If I see what you want us to see, that’s a bush or whatever that vegetation is, lol.

That seems more plausible.  I have seen a couple around.  I didn't really think it could be a mountain lion, but power of persuasion and it really didn't look like a coyote to me.

Appears to be a canine of some sort, not a cat. Front leg seems to be stepping over a limb or something.  Of course, my expert badge is in the cleaners, LOL

Yote for sure, I've got dozens of pics of them rascals.  Kinda spooky when it sounds like the entire pack outside my travel trailer is calling me out. 🐺

IIRC, it was reported by the local news station that one was spotted by the Coconut Bay Cafe that's next to Stone's River in Murfreesboro off of Old Fort Parkway.

EDIT: I just Googled the story and watched the video. It was a good sized Bobcat.

I have been to the Coconut Bay Cafe, more than once, and I can easily see how folks there could see a house cat and think it was a Lion.

Fox or 'yote....I would guess 'yote. Mostly I only catch a single distant shot or two in a 5 shot burst. They don't hang around the cams for long.

In the last year I have personally seen trail cam of a big cougar in Perry County, NW of Lobelville, and heard 2 other sighting reports through associates. Another in Perry and one in Humphreys.
