Stink bugs

I don’t know if you guys have them, but they are approaching biblical plague status here. Any tips on repelling them would be greatly appreciated. I am prepared to purchase nuclear weapons on the black market if that’s what it takes.

It is that time of year.  I’ve had a few so far but nothing unmanageable.  Have no clue about dealing with a mass invasion other than to be careful when slapping something that lands on you, it might be one of them.

I don’t think that will work. It won’t work on cockroaches and apparently these are much harder to get rid of than roaches; if you can even get rid of them. So, then you will glow in the dark and still have bugs.

We keep a dust buster ready and just suck them up. It hasn't been too bad so far, only a few a day.  Stink bugs are a relatively new occurrence where I live in just west of Nashville.

When the Asian beetles (aka lady bugs) swarm, we've had 10,000 in a day. We only had a few hundred last year. They (Asian beetles) swarm the first warm day after the first freeze.

For those running around on the windows we have found a plastic pop bottle with a little water and a few drops of Dawn dish soap works wonders. Just bring the mouth of the jar under the stink bug and they practically jump in. Then just put the top back on and put it on the window sill till needed again.

The first year in TN we had dozen we caught every night during the winter. The next year I started spraying around all the windows and eaves with Bifen I/T, active ingredient Bifenthrin, in late summer before they started moving inside. Since then we still have a few a week but it is much better. Not sure if the spray helped or they are just on a cycle. We still have lots outside, just not many get in. We also caulked as many cracks and seams that we could find.

Grab with tissue and royal flush. We had them when we were in NJ. They sneak in via the window ac units. Not bad down here so far. We have central air. None inside but some on outside screens.

You do not understand. It would be like drying the Atlantic Ocean with tissues.
