Vortex customer service thumbs up

I just now lost both turret caps on my Sparc AR through my own stupidity. Called Vortex. They're sending me two no charge! They're now at the front of the line for my next optic.

My experience has been similar.

I emailed to ask if they could help me find a source for a couple extra tripod adaptor plates for a tripod they haven't sold in a couple of years, they sent me four at no charge.

Good for them. Good customer support is great….when you get it. I always thought Smith & Wesson’s customers service was what all others were measured by; and it was for years.  I saw all the bad reviews on them and didn’t want to believe it; then it happened to me.

I emailed Vortex with some question when I was buying their products. If I remember correctly, they responded pretty quick.

Leupold is supposed to have excellent customers service. My only dealing with them was a few years ago when I bought a Leupold scope for a Remington rifle. I used Leupolds website to get the model numbers for the bases and rings I needed. The rings were wrong. The numbers were wrong on their website. I emailed them and they told me to send them in and they would replace them with the right rings and apologized for the mistake. I was leaving in a few days to go to Illinois and shoot. I asked if they could go ahead and send out the correct set so I would have them prior to my trip, and I would send the others back. They said they couldn’t do that. I offered to give them a credit card number to cover them if I didn’t send the others back; they said they couldn’t do that either. So, I didn’t get to take the gun on that trip. I though that was chicken chit, but some folks said I was overreacting.

Trying to configure and order a laptop from Dell today. They are advertising a Veterans Discount. However, the folks on the Workstation side won’t honor it.

Used to be a company with bad customers service wouldn’t last long, unless they were selling something really cheap. Now bad customer support is the norm, even on high dollar items.

Had the same thing happen when I asked about how to replace one of my Vortex scope caps.  Guess who I'll be looking to for future scopes because they have a solid product and great customer support?  They're smart enough to know keeping the revenue on repeat business for scopes is well worth the loss of a few plastic caps they have in bulk.

Only have great things to say about them as well. One scope exchange and a couple support questions dealing with a venom. They know who butters their bread! Truly an example others should strive for.

I also had a good experience with Leupold. I mounted the scope and couldn't get it zeroed for windage. Sent it in, they checked it and returned it at no charge saying it checked out. Come to find out,  my rings were the problem.
