Scoped Revolver

I thought I wanted a scoped revolver. But all of my centerfires are S&W pre-locks that I didn’t want to Drill &Tap. I was kicking around the idea of a new 686, they are drilled & tapped for a scope mount from the factory. But then I looked at my 617 and saw that it was factory drilled & tapped.

So I guess I’ll try it on a rimfire first. Should get to try this out this weekend.

Years ago, back around '86 or so, I had a Dan Wesson 44 mag with a 8" heavy vent rib BBL.

Got a mount for it from B Square in Ft. Worth. Clamped on, worked fine.

Good luck with your venture, I'm sure you'll get it worked out.

Killed a few deer with it, BTW.

Nice hand cannon, LOL. Mine had quite a bit of bite to it. Manageable tho.

Definitely has a thump to it.   Quite a bit more than my 629 44 mag

I had a Ruger Redhawk .41 mag. with a scope. I sold it about 12 years ago and have regretted ever since.
