Does anyone know if a fishing and hunting combo license would suffice for a shooting range permit? I seen something about a hunting license can be used in lieu of but wasn't sure if the combo license would work or not

PC is only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday which is a joke. You must have a regular hunting license or buy the shooting permit for $101.00 annual.

CRC is only 125.00 a year and open 364 1/2 days a year with 9 different ranges . All legal firearms are allowed including C3.

Shooting Range

Hours of operation: Thursday, Friday, Saturday from sunrise to sunset. Closed during managed hunts.

Permit required. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency now requires a permit to use the shooting range. A Tier One Shooting Range Permit may be purchased at:

  • TWRA License Agents: TWRA Regional Offices, local stores, sporting goods stores and other merchants.
  • By Phone: 1-888-814-8972. Have a pen/pencil and paper ready to copy confirmation number. There will be a processing fee.
  • Online: Visit www.tnwildlife.org and click on 'Buy Licenses and Boat Registration'. There will be a processing fee.
  • Those possessing a current Tennessee Hunting License are not required to obtain a Tier One Shooting Range Permit.

I do know Chuck Swan and North Cumberland require only a Hunting License I think called Tier 1 (no other permits - that changed this year).

I have life time SR Hunting License and use those ranges. They are like 40 to 45 miles North and North West from Knoxville.
