I have shot it alot through a G3,CETME, FAL and DPMS. It is loaded a little hot.

DPMS even comes with a warning against using it in there rifles.

It would be through a rem 700 tactical. I'll stick to the good stuff to sight it in just was curious for plinking ammo.

Dude if you dont want it can I get a shot at it? It is prob the best surplus .308 out there. Thats all I run through my 1919a4 when I can find it.

I think that's high. I got some SA .308 for a little under $.50 per round a few months back. But that was a few months back. classicarms.us and samcoglobal.com have some surplus .308 (some Czech and some Spanish, I think) for less than $.50 per round.

Its good stuff, chrono's out at 2600ish from a 16" barrel...about what you'd expect from full power ball. At least the lot we had. Real consistent. The GGG headstamped Lith is marginally better, imo, but in a service rifle i doubt you could tell any difference. They are both better than winchester white box ball, imo.

I shoot it through a DSA FAL and a PTR91 with no problems to speak of. I just wish more was available at a decent price.

I too have shot alot of it through my PTR. For plinking it is fine, dirty but fine. Not sure I would try to reach out past a couple hundred yards with it.

Just curious if its any good. I know someone selling 140 rds of it for a .308. Anyone have any dealings with the stuff.

Since I found a nice, very nice 308 today, how about telling me where this ammo is.

I've used the SA ammo before and was VERY impressed with it. It performed as good as the 7.62 ball that I have "liberated" from Uncle Sam over the years. I'm running low now...like one battle pack left, so if anyone DOES know of a good source please share the wealth, especially since I have recently got a hankerin to get a CETME.....like I have room for it in the safe :death: and hopefully the wife won't find out or else:bat:

I got an email from Copes Distributing. They have 500 rounds of loose DAG .308 for $250. I believe it isn't on the site. You may have to call.
