Nice yote. What 2 rifles do you have there?

Thank you! The bolt action is a Savage 110 Tactical in 6.5 Creed with 6-24x50 Vortex HST. I built the AR from a TGO Cross Machine Tool billet receiver set. Has a Geissele Mk8 rail and 18” Ballistic Advantage .223 Wylde barrel, and a Vortex PST 1-6 in an Larue Tactical QD mount. It’s an extremely accurate rifle that I built primarily for coyote hunting so it’s my go-to most of the time. I run the SilencerCo Omega can on both of them.

That looks like the exit hole. DRT! What round are you using? That is a good looking pelt...no mange.

Yeah I was really surprised at how healthy his coat was. It was the first thing I told my buddy when we walked up to it. That was a 6.5 Creed 143 grain Hornady ELD-X.

You’re in on that action though ain’t ya?

I've got to be in Texas this weekend, but Christmas weekend we are going to one farm. The next weekend we are heading to a second farm. I've got to get the license, boundaries, and structure stuff done.  One land owner wants to be involved. That's understandable and a lot more work, but it is kinda fun. We put them on bolt guns with thermals. I really want a thermal drone, but....$$$$$$

Man all of that sounds like a lot of fun!

I will be celebrating when I finally am able to get a thermal. Night vision is fun too but whole new ball game with both. Post up some pictures after your trips, I’d love to see them!

Last Sunday I got out for the first time this year. Went out to my friends house to tinker with my NV and thermal scopes. We ended up heading across the road to another farm and called this coyote and another one that didn’t stick around. 3” TSS load dropped this one as he was coming straight up the ridge to me, the call was between me and the coyote. Shot was at about 35/36 yards and he dropped like a sack of potatoes. I love rifle shooting and field hunting, but shotguns in the woods is a whole different level of excitement.
Hoping to get out again tomorrow if things go right.
