Firefox Issue/Question

For some reason, on some forum threads, that have pictures I can see them, some I can't. For example, in Firefox, this shows up instead of the picture: [ATTACH]18872[/ATTACH], however, in IE the image actually shows up.

It is not this site, but another one that I frequent and it is not all pictures. Some show up, some don't. Pics with the img tags show up, but the other way doesn't.

Some sites are not "firefox compatible". I've been using firefox since the beginning and love it.

My first impression is that it sounds like what happens when you're not logged in to a forum. Externally hosted images and such are visible to anyone, but attached images are only visible to people who are logged in.

I'm logged in, and on my desktop at home, I can still see all pictures. Since my little virus last weekend on the laptop, and the subsequent reinstall/repair of Firefox, I have not been able to.

hmm, haven't had any problems with FF (at work or at home).

When you re-installed FF did you install to the same directory? If so I would uninstall it and have it installed to a directory other than the default.

Yes, when I reinstalled it asked if I wanted to fix my current version and use the same directories I said yes, I can go and uninstall/reinstall in new directories.
