Single Sixes Anyone?

Recommended Posts

If you haven't been able to tell yet, I love my wheel guns!  And the wheel gun that I first fell in love with was the Ruger Single Six!  Have quite a few of these, but these are my favorites.

This is a 1958.

And this is a pair of 50's vintage.  The one on the left is a flatgate 1956 and the other is a 1958.

Another of the flatgate.

Frame is starting to "plum".

Anyone else a Single Six fan?

Sweet set there. Personally not a fan of these, or most SA styles. But that doesn't mean I can't appreciate them.

I actually have 2 Colt Commemoratives from my father-in-law. Never shot, but not a super collectible in the younger shooting crowd these days. So I may get around to it.

Quite fond of all my handguns, but especially so with the Ruger ‘thumb-cockers”.  Just love the 4 clicks when cocking the non-safety-converted Old Model wheel guns.

My favorite caliber is the .30 Carbine.  What a blast (pun intended) to shoot !!!

I have a few Ruger Single Action pistols of which one is a early 70's Single Six-right before they started with the safety stuff-still a 3 screw

I have a Single Six Conv. that I bought in 1965. That was the good ol' days. I was an Okla. resident and walked into a store something like a Service Merchandise in Norfolk, Va. paid for the gun and walked out with it.

Last week while out searching for a Wrangler, this one followed me home.  Not a great deal but a decent one ($424 OTD)

Seems like that's a pretty good ball park price-I traded a Ruger GP100 even up for mine.

I love single sixes.   I've only ever owned one and I gave it to a friend's son.   But I'd love to add a few back to the safe.
