Newport News here.  Used to work at the brewery a few years back!

Ha! I worked at the Shipyard before I moved here.

I’ll never forget the smell of Budweiser brewing.

Small world!

Great State attracting great people.

I transplanted from Winter Park (Orlando) in 1994.

Can't imagine living anywhere else.

Speaking with a friend about why TN.

Geographic location with good airports and interstates, natural geography weather, taxes, and less intrusive .gov (my perspective)

Natives and longer term residents have the view, "come on in, just don't bring and try to enact the same stupid .gov stuff you left behind."

If it was so good, we'd already be doing it.

Problems, yep. Compare urban to suburban / rural and the are differences of opinion. Easterners think we live in the best part of the state (at least I do - but I'm not a city kid)

It's easy to highlight problems and blight within urban areas because of population density. We simply get to point at Nashville for Middle and Memphis for Westerners, and it seems idyllic here.

Especially if you never travel MLK past Walter P...

Welcome!

Yes, ORSA in Oak Ridge does have a SASS group, and there is also one out in Greenville.  I think they both have listings on the SASS website.

I love my wheel guns too; I have been to several informal meetings of a SASS group out in Greenville, and more recently ORSA had an open house where I tried some good guns and even shot "gunfighter" with .38 specials and .45's for the first time.  I have been practicing with (2) American Heritage .22lr's and I have created "gunfighter" (one gun in each hand, two eyes open, for those who do not know) practice scenarios on our military grade firearms training simulator.

If you are ever down in the Sevierville/Wears Valley area, stop by the shop.  We also do State of TN Carry Permit Classes.

Welcome to TGO and Knoxville Marshal.

As mentioned ORSA is a good place to shoot with a variety of shooting options available. I've been a member there since I moved to Knoxville in 2006.

In West Knoxville I can speak very positively for Shoot Point Blank indoor range. Very nice facility and friendly folks.

Again, welcome.

Ha, welcome! My brother inlaw is buying a house here shortly. He retired out of Fort Eustis VA as their maintenance sup. Hes also pulling retirement as Army Major.  I'v said decades ago when I had a full service Gun Shop, there will be states that honor the US Constitution and ones that don't. With the influx of libs in Nastyville, Memph and Knox.... its imperative we 2nd A transplants be ready to jump down our Reps if they get stupid in the state house.  So far I like what I see for the most part. Last year there wasn't one Dem that ran for local office in my new town!  That's half the battle won.
