As some of y’all may know, I’m a glass snob. Nightforce is my preferred go to brand. Well, US Optics has introduced a new LVPO line that operates in territory that actually approaches affordable. Long known for making premium optics at a premium price, their new line has definitely piqued my interest. Street price on their 1-8 LVPO is right around $750. The new line is Chinese made, but according to USO is QC’d in Montana. I can’t imagine they’d risk their well deserved reputation on a substandard product, so I really want to get my hands on one to compare to my different NF optics.

Buy one and do a heads up comparison against your Nightforce. (However....its a 1x8, not a lot there to compare, other than build quality)

As some of y’all may know, I’m a USA made snob; when I can be. Trumps making the Chinese stop counterfeiting Leupold. So they need to find a legit market. :)

I wouldn’t be in a hurry to put that kinda money in one. As someone that just retired from QA, I can say being QA’d in Montana only means it is being checked to the QA specs; not necessarily competitive to their other line.

You need to be the guinea pig on this Chuck and let us know how it goes.  :leaving:

Dave, I actually have a NF NXS 1-4x24. So while not exact, it would be a pretty good comparison. Though I’ve been itching to get my hands on the new NF NX8 1-8x24. The TS-8X would be half the price, and if it’s within striking distance quality wise, it’s gonna be a hell of a temptation

Nightforce just announced last week two new  NX8 models, fyi since you have the itch.  Specs sound promising.

Wonder how long before that Chinese factory screws them over and releases it under a different name or it shows up on Alibaba at half price

I bet they are getting paid enough to not do that.

time will tell...lots of horror stories of this happening to US companies.

I don’t care if they sell them on another site for less, or 1% of the price, if they are under another name. This administration is trying to stop the counterfeit. Plenty of counterfeit Leupolds and EOTech’s around, and software being sold for pennies on the dollar. That needs to be stopped.
