Has anyone used a S&W 6904 and have any thoughts on the gun?

Doing a search on the net I find very few of them for sale.

I think I will get one at a good price. But just wanted to see what you guys thought. Ball park price range?

Also has anyone have info on the year it was made? SN# VCB3XXX

The 6904 is the same gun as a 6906 but it is alloy indicated by the "4" where as the "6" indicates Stainless steel. Mark at Summit gun broker had a bunch of the 6906's at $289, though they were the older square trigger guards types. You might give him a call to see if a new batch has arrived.

I have owned several and I like them a lot. They are well made and very reliable, magazines and holsters are plentiful. I ran across a 3913 which is the same upper with a single stack 8 round lower or I would have kept the 6906 I had. I preferred the thinner profile to the fatter 12 shot double stack for carry.

Great gun if you like da only, had one for years. The gun is

quite a bit longer than 6906 and requires special holster if

it is fitted holster.

Well I got the S&W 6904 (used) with 3 mags and 3 holsters.

A very nice built gun. I only shot one mag in it so far.

I had seen these before but never even picked one up as to me the S&W autos never caught my eye.

But so far it seems like a gun I wish I hadnt overlooked beore.
