Hey guys I was doing some YouTube watching and I seen a video of hickock45 doing a review of the sig P224. Do any of y’all have your own personal experience on it. Is it a good gun or junk? From what I understand it’s a cut down subcompact version of the 229. Let me know what ya think

I like Sigs and normally would recommend one. However, I did a little searching and it appears the P224 was a problem child. Lots of feed issues and the gun has since been discontinued. Even the best makes a mistake now and then.  :shake:

I've got one with a .40 and .357 barrel.

It has been reliable using both 224 and 229 mags.

Trigger is very nice.

Short, fat grip feels odd to me, so it is tucked away for access if John Wick comes a knockin'

It's an odd size for a sub compact, being on the upper end of hefty / bulky. Coupled with Grayfox's research on reliability, not so strange they discontinued it.

I have a 224 in .40 haven't fired much maybe 500 rounds, I had no issues at all and it is a great CC weapon.  the 224 is been discontinued from the Sig catalog, you might find NIB still out there though
