I never heard or saw it advertised.

Because its new.  Just added to the site in the past couple days.   They will probably make the official announcement in the next couple of days.   Thats usually how it goes down anyways.

Rural King in Clarksville has some cool deals here and there.

Yes they do. Have you signed up for their weekly email special's?

Surely so, but do the FS mags fit it as well? Haven't looked at the Security 9 platform yet but hear and read nice thing about it. Don't need or can afford another pistol now; but with Ruger quality, this should be a good compact for concealed carry.

That email was the first I'd heard of it was well. I'd like to get my hands on one and compare with the larger one.

They'll probably do the sleeve thing they did with the SR9c.

It may just be me but it seems all of Ruger's pistols over the last couple of years are a tad on the homely side.   Not Hi Point ugly by any means, just not appealing to me.    Yes, I know that looks shouldn't be a real factor in choosing a quality pistol, but most people do allow looks to play a bigger factor than we probably should.

I have read multiple positive reviews on both the American and Security.

If I wasn't heavily invested in CZ and looking for another striker fired, I'd give them a serious look.

My first carry gun was an SP101 and first auto loader was a P95.

So Ruger doesn’t make any 40’s anymore? I don’t even see the SR40 on their website.

Don't think you're gonna see a gen 5 Glock in .40, either. Haven't yet, anyway.

We have .40 ammo sitting that we bought last year in August for Black Friday. It's pretty much dead. We've sold cases of 9mm.

There are lots of .40 S&W LE service pistols starting to flood the market. were they were traded in for new 9mm and .45ACPs pistols. And they can be had for cheap.  That might be enough to keep the .40 from dying in the short term, but I don't see it as a viable caliber in the long term.

I just looked and they make a Glock 22 Gen 5; they just don’t offer it here yet.

I’m just really surprised to see Ruger leave us .40S&W shooters out. But hey, whatever they think is best for them.

Plus, Ruger has retired the SR series.

Very sad. The SR45 was one of the best shooting 45 autoloaders I ever shot. And...I foolishly sold it.🤦‍♂️

I think the 9E is (well, was) about the best value going in a pistol.

Well, we have one. It's a two finger gun. Nice, small.

If you don't mind... What's the length of the grip from the bottom of the trigger guard to the bottom of the mag?  And how much longer is the mag extention?

Using our handy Stanley tape, from the top of the undercut to the bottom of the front edge of the mag is 1 3/4". The pinky extension looks to add 7/8".
