got a couple hundred rounds of israeli military ammo 45 acp, took it to shoot sunday fired about 20 rounds of it and gun jammed three times each time it jammed i stopped, dropped mag ,checked barrel ,put the mag back in and shot until the next jam. ( i checked the barrel because i was not sure about the ammo) after the three jams i unloaded the mags and shot some blazer ammo no problems. here is the bad part, after shooting i collected my brass and found three bullets about three feet from where i was standing at when i had the jams they were the imi bullets, this kind of spooked me what caused this, and have any of you had this same thing happen?

Sounds like the ammo might have gotten contaminated (water or oil maybe), possibly in shipping. Thats about the only thing that should have caused squibs like you are describing.

By the way, good for you for checking the after squibs.:)

I don't know if I'd laugh or cry if I shot at a bad guy standing five feet away, and the bullet traveled only three feet.

I remember a thread about this IMI ammo a week or so ago. Somebody basically said, "It's cheap for a reason." I'd say consider it a lesson learned, and be glad you bought only a couple hundred.

i actually dumped the ammo there is no way i would shoot anymore of this stuff. i bought it for target practice but heck this ammo might let the target get me.
