Remembering to charge it and have it with me will be my downfall with this product.

Mine will last at least 6 months without having been charged.

Alright, this little thing is cute if it'll work. Which port does one use to charge a phone? I assume the 12 volt? The instructions aren't much. They appear to be written by an 8 year old Chinese kid.

The two USB ports in the middle are for charging devices.

Thanks. I should have looked closer. The other plug is round.

Another question. If this thing will start a car, why can't we buy car batteries this small and light?

I've got an iclever brand of these jump start batteries.  Wife's car was a Cmax hybrid and if it was not driven in 7-10 days it seemed to go into a deep sleep mode or something, it needed to be jumped off.  One guy came with one of the iclever brand ones and he said he had already used it to start a couple a 18 wheeler rigs earlier in the week and still had a 75% charge when he showed up for the Cmax.  Haven't had to use it as we traded the cmax soon afterwards, but it still holds a good charge after several months of riding around in the trunk.

Worth a try.  I tried to see if it would work on the 1000A version, but it wouldn't.  This one will be fine for what I need I am sure.  Always have regular jumper cables if needed.

We are getting there but we aren't quite there yet.  Price and packaging are a real issue.  Li-Ion batteries don't like to get hot.  When they get hot, they expand and explode.   Also, for cells strong enough to stand up to constant charge cycles and hard cranking, you are looking at a lot of money.   The company that made my jumpstarter also has a line of batteries.   You can see they start around $400.
