I know that the Chickamauga Battlefield is a National Military Park, but does it fall under the new ruling for concealed carry within National Parks? There are still signs posted that weapons are not allowed there.

Yes, the rule change applies to all National Parks.

Don't get caught up in the semantics of the park name. Whether it is called a military park, national battlefield, recreation area, parkway, park, historic site, or any the other designations; they are all National Parks.

The park does fall under the rule change.

I would say the sign is left over from before and just has not been taken down.

well look what happened last time guns were carried at that place.

I hope you all are better behaved this time around.

Thanks guys! I was there yesterday, and having the PM9 in my pocket certainly made me feel safer, but the signs were a little disconcerting.

I guess the federal maintenance folks there have any number of things to do other than taking down signs that are an infringement of our 2nd Amendment rights.

Well, if all the yankees would stay out of the south we wouldn't have to act up.:2cents:
