New pocket knife

Being that other than my Benchmade mini-grip, every knife I've used in the last 20 years I've made myself I find it difficult to actually pay cash-money for a new fixed blade. But this wee bastard had me intrigued.

Actual G10 scales, decent (7Cr17mov) steel, handy-dandy size & $20? Yeah, I'll give 'er a punt.....

I have to say, I am BEYOND impressed! The primary & secondary bevel are clean, crisp & precise. Plunge is perfect, scale fit & finish is flawless & the edge has actually been properly honed. Usually there's a wire edge to one side of the secondary, but this thing is mirror smooth & literally shaving sharp, right out of the package.

I need to whip up a pocket sheath (I cannot abide a 'neck' knife) but initial impressions are right up there......

So I'm on Amazon, looking at the small "necker" sized knives to throw in my EDC backpack as a backup.  And I says to myself "Bubba, no.  If you buy any more knives, you're going to get yourself in trouble."

So I muster the last of my willpower and head to TGO, to drown my sorrows in gun porn.  The next thing I know, I'm spending $20 on Amazon for my 9th new knife of 2019.

Thanks a lot! 🤣

It does look nice.  I'm curious what type pocket sheath you use.  I've got a few neck(ish) knives, but don't carry them often since I'm not a necker or belter.

Real simple, welted slip sheath (I did wet firm this'n, being so small) with a 1½" clip

The clip isn't perfect for inside-the-pocket carry, but it'll do. Plus I can OWB it or attach it to a pack belt.

Tiny little thing!  Looks handy though.  I like little fixed blades.  I carry a Folts Minimalist Wharncliffe. I find the needle point on Wharncliffe style knives to be handy at times. This knife little knife you've introduced us too, looks a might better finished than the Folts though.

Why no love for a neck knife? They've never seemed all that practical to me, but I'm not really a knife guy so I assumed there was something there that I just didn't get.

They always seem to be in the way when you don't need them. Flapping in your face whenever you bend over etc. Tuck it under your shirt & it's a nuisance to get at.  Of all the ways a fella could conceivably carry a knife, it always seems to be the least convenient to me.
