Hello, my name is Jason and I am still waiting for my permit in the mail. I applied on the 30th of December. The lady at the finger print place said that since i had a Secret clearance it should take about a month but i guess she was wrong. Tomorrow i am going to call to see what the status is. Anyways, I have been calling Guns and Leather everyday for about 3 weeks to see if they had the Walther PPS in .40 all black. Yesterday i called and they had it so i went and purchased it I have an uncle mikes inside the waist holster which fits nicely. Now does anybody else have a PPS and which holsters do you carry with?

Yeah, i am in the army. The background check for that was pretty extensive so that is why i guess she said that...

Having a security clearance won't speed things up. Tennessee will do the exact same background check regardless if you have a clearance, or not.

Wait times seem to be around 30 to 60 days anyway. Give it another couple of weeks.

A friend of mine applied on the 30th and just received his on Friday. I wouldn't get overly excited, but just so you know, things are happening.

So I just called and the lady said the background check got back and it just got approved. That i should be getting it in around 10-14 days. She also double checked my address.

who do you call? I applied on Jan 2nd and got fingerprinted on Jan 6th. Hoping to see it soon. Would like to be able to carry while it's still cold and can cover it up. Once it warms up, prob. just keep it in the truck.

Alingo, mine took 34 days, that's including the Christmas holidays and New Years's, like the other post, what does winter have to do with it, carry it in the open, a lot of people do.
