350 Legend by Winchester

Well, I found the answer to one question and the AR guys ain't gonna like it. The 350 Legend will NOT work in standard 5.56 AR mags. Apparently there are some small ridges inside the mag at the cartridge neck that have to be removed in order for the straight walled case to fit and feed properly.

Check at about the 3:15 mark.

But still. its an easy caliber change.

Sounds a bit like the 300 blackout, which now has dedicated mags.

Yes Sir. I also found out that 350 Legend will require different mags. I think I may just stick with my AR-10 in .308 Win since I just solved the low gas and short stroking issue I was having. I was using a Superlative Arms Adjustable Gas Block on it, their design has a port vent to vent excess gas. Well, it was venting too much gas and short stroking. Replacing it with a Standard Gas Block fixed that issue.

Actually, I really don't have much interest in an AR in this caliber. I'm just not much of an AR guy.

What I'm waiting for is a more or less standard, straight stocked, semi-auto in 350. I'm thinking Ruger's Mini-14 would be ideal. That is IF its accurate. Something that the Mini-14 is noted for lacking. :shake: If it can't regularly do 1" or less at 100 yards, I wouldn't be interested.

A handy trapper length lever action would be nice too. :D I'll just wait a while and see where the 350 lands. ;)
