It was a long day first I lest Dyersburg about 3:30 am and headed towards Nashvegas where I met Astra 9000. At 7:00am, I picked up a nice .22 Romanian bolt action trainer from him. Then I met up with another guy just north of Nashville, at 8:00 am. Then I headed to Hero Gear to meet Joe and the gang hoping my tax stamp would arrive today. After drooling over all of Joe's assortment, I created a pile of parts to purchase. Then in came the mailman with three letters from the NFA Branch. Mine was the first on Dan opened. So I got to take the lady home today, and save another long car ride. Hero Gear in not just a awesome gunstore, but a home to a great staff of people. Joe stepped up to the plate and offered to transfer a SBR to me at his cost. I was having problems with another transfer. I thought I was out of luck with the first one. After I had started the deal with Joe, the other fella resumited the paperwork. Long story short they both came in about the same time. I tried to pay Joe full price for the lower, but he would'nt take it. This just goes to show you what a great guy he is. I things hadn't worked out like they did I would of probably never meet Astra 9000, Joe, or the guys from Hero Gear.

Now for the pics.

The Double Star lower from Joe. Shown with .22 kit and AWC Raider. Its not done yet I have to move the freefloat tube out some. Its too close to the lower to assemble.

You have a great looking family there VolDaddy! Is that DoubleStar .22 suppressed?

It also was nice to meet you at Hero Gear. Its always good to finally put a face with the TGO screen name. If I seemed distracted, I was blinded by the excitement of picking up my tax stamp and completed SBR!!!!

Im running a .22 conversion kit through a .223 AWC Raider supressor. The Double Star lower is mated with a hodgepodge of parts upper. I assembled it last nite. I think its my favorite though.

Good to finally meet you in person Bill.

Glad we could get you squared away, and happy to hear "the other guy" finally stepped up and did the right thing.

Enjoy BOTH your SBRs :screwy:
