My wife's grandfather died this morning, he was 85. He is a World War II D-Day veteran. One helluva man. He will be missed. Somewhat unexpected, but he did not suffer.

Been a crazy day, computer issues, car issues, and of course this. Me and my BIL went and shot a lot of stuff at Range USA tonight, which I know helped him.

Well, I'm going to go take a shot of Nyquil, yep got a cold too, and off to bed!

Man, you guys are in my prayers.

Trust me when I say that while I never knew your wife's grandfather, he was one of the most highly respected man ever, imo. I'm thankful people like him lived here and so righteously represented this great country.

sorry for your family's loss. Hold on to the memories, encourage the others to do the same. He will still be there for everyone in this way and keeping hims around is what matters.

Man I hate to hear that.

Heaven gets another good warrior to add to it's company.

So sorry.

Thanks everyone for your comments, thoughts and prayers.

I just got off the phone, I have been asked to be a pallbearer.

I did get some clarification of his military service.

1st Army, 9th Regiment, HQ and Anti Tank Units

Was at DDay +1 at Omaha Beach clearing snipers.

Was in France, Germany and Czechoslovakia.

It will be an HONOR to help lay this hero down to rest.
