Do y’all have sales preferences

I split this topic off of Bud’s safe sales topic.

iTrader is a rating system here on the TGO site. You leave and receive feedback from other TGO members based on your buying, selling, giving, and trading here in the classifieds. It's not a separate e-store. You can see current iTrader ratings beneath the profile pictures of every member on every thread in the classifieds section. It's a gray, green, or red rectangle named "Trader Feedback".

Ah, thanks for that information.  On the IllinoisCarry.com forum we just rated folks one at a time, on a voluntary basis, in a continuous thread, for quality as buyer or seller.  The trader feedback system here seems, well, much more systematic.    When I get to making trades on this forum I will have to reference the old record apparently, at least for a short time.  That shouldn't be a problem.   And I could add info from gunbroker and gunauction.com as well.

I'm inclined here in TN to have a strong preference on trades to deal with CCL holders.  What are you guys' preferences on qualifying buyers or sellers that you're comfortable dealing with?

I like dealing with established members but still meet new members as well. You can usually get a feel for them through a few emails. As long as I don’t get a weird vibe I will deal with new members.

@bud is trying to sell a safe.  Do y’all have anything to offer to make that happen other than idle chatter?

Solid point, thread split.

Good call.  Sometimes the discussions in the trading post (placing an ad there being the privilege of a benefactor) just get a little out of hand.

Nice write up Bud. You are correct, we are very similar in our sales philosophy. The one difference is I like to mess with the low ballers. I usually email them back and say I can’t do that but I can do this, which is higher than the listed price. Lol
