Country star Roy Clark, the legendary singer and multi-instrumentalist with an ear-to-ear smile who headlined the hit TV show "Hee Haw" for nearly a quarter century, has died. He was 85.

A rep for the singer told Fox News Clark died on Thursday at his Tulsa, Okla., home due to complications from pneumonia.

R.I.P.  ROY

Amazing talent way before Hee-Haw

Another celebrity so popular from my youth dies that a large section of the population had no clue who he was.

I remember when Don Rickles died I went through 5 or 6 not exactly young people before I got a person who didn't say "who?"

Same will happen with RC I'm guessing but ONE DAY it will happen with the Kardashians, and Beyonce and Taylor and all the other celebs that annoy me nowadays.....

Time marches on.

IMHO the greatest guitar player ever. A great comedian and not a half bad actor.
Back in 1985 he made a movie with Mel Tillis called "Uphill All The Way". Silly little film with a dumb plot, but the prefect vehicle for this pair. Watching Roy and Mel playing off of each other is hilarious.

Saddens me to no end.  RIP Roy. You entertained me as well as as countless others with your outstanding talent. You should be proud of that, folks like you come around once in a lifetime.
