Cheap 22lr heads up...

Dicks has left over black friday Mossberg Plinkster 702's in real tree camo for $119 semi-auto with 10shot magazine. If your like me and didnt own a .22lr and dont plan on customizing a 10/22 I dont think you can beat that price. The Maryville location had 8 left as of today and might get more in.

I got one of these a few years ago on black Friday for $80. Once it went through a brick of .22LR it shot just as accurate as my tricked out 10/22. I sold it to a buddy as I have a bunch of .22's but its a great cheap .22!!!!

I have had one of these for a couple of years and put close to 5000 rounds through it.It still shoots great,Ihave a laser mounted and this works well. Also you can get these for $108 at Wal Mart if you can find one that still sells guns.

Thanks to this post, tonight I went by the local Academy, Dicks, and Wally World. Academy was sold out, Dicks had one with the wood stock but it was marked at 129.99 (the guy said they weren't honoring the 119.99 price), then went to Wally World. Had a black one in stock, picked it up for $107! Nice little gun, can't wait to shoot it.

I think the Halls store still sells them, and Oak Ridge maybe, and I am thinking I saw them at East Town too????

I was sussing out Dick's in W. Knox last Friday for something else, and remembered this thread...they didn't have the 702 semi-auto, but did have the 802 bolt w/ magazine for the $119. I also had $35 coupons burning hole in pocket, was gonna use for ammo, but their ammo has been sky-high for a while...so verily, the Plinkster joined my arsenal.

Will report after I shoot it...

Can assure you that Gallaher View Walmart does NOT sell guns.

You can't even ORDER one there.

The East Town and Halls Wal-Marts sell guns. So does the one down in Maryville/Alcoa. They usually have some freakin' ammo too. It's just when you get to the West Side that they don't want you to have the stuff!

+1 on that. But I can assure you if 9mm BB is what you're looking for they usually have that. And nothing else.

Didn't Friday. No 9mm of any kind.

Or .45.

Or 00 buckshot.

Or ...

Turkey Creek Wally's had 9mm and seemingly most everything else 'cept for .45.

They were fully stocked with 9mm this evening when I stopped by after work (5pm), but none of the fun calibers.

Yep, timing is everything.

If you want ammo there, you gotta haunt them daily, like MouseGunner in Nooga does :bored:
