That was a cool video but is kinda hard to believe.  I will let someone who is more up on physics comment if it is possible or not.

With that round, had he done a head shot, there wouldn't be a lot of skull left.  The temporary wound cavity would have been greater than the size of the doe's head.

We discussed this some time back, the consensus was that it was BS.  This video pretty much sums it up.

If anything, the bullet went in one eye and out the other. There's basically no bone between the eyes, and very little tissue. The bullet didn't hit anything hard enough to expand and cause the typically massive wound cavity, it just zipped through taking the eyes and a bit of brain with it. 

I would have expected there to be a big chunk out of one of the trees or a divot in the ground where the bullet hit.
