Thoughts on Thompson Center Compass?

I'm thinking about purchasing a T/C Compass in .270, as I finally have an opportunity to get into deer hunting. The reviews seem pretty good, especially for a $200 (after rebates at Academy) rifle, but I wanted to see if anyone here had firsthand experience with 'em.

I don't have any first hand experience with the Compass but I have owned a lot of TC rifles over the years.  All were dependable, accurate guns.  I have not bought any new TC guns in a couple of years so YMMV.

My wife bought me one last year for Christmas, so this will be my first year hunting with it.  It is a 6.5 Creedmoor.  I have sighted it in shooting less than 1 inch groups at 300 yards with hand loads.  I'm looking very forward to gun season.
