You lasted longer than I did.

It was a short little book.  The average reader would have come out with time to spare if they had opted for just reading the book instead of subjecting themselves to seeing the movie.

I agree it probably could have been better but when you begin to make a movie and they tie 1 hand behind your back and threaten to do 2 it does not leave a lot of wiggle room to work with. Randall Wallace ran into the same issues on his Movie "When we were soldiers" and so did so many other directors when it came to making movies about wars starting with Vietnam. Coppola ran into many issue with Apocalypse Now

I have no clue what you are talking about.  It was terrible because they wrote in a bunch of crap that didn't happen to try and make it more dramatic.  It didn't need that.  It didn't need to be a revenge story.

It was a fitting tribute in a way. They manufactured a story about a guy who manufactured a lot of stories.

Since I am not sure which movie you are referring to I will guess it is American Sniper. First off it it Hollywood so that is what they do. I'm sure he talked about things in his book that Hollywood was not allowed to use in the movie so they impervise. The Military even had a few things removed from the book before it was finally allowed to be published. It was as good as they were allowed to make it all things considered. The only people that know for sure where the men/women that served with him in country and they ain't talking so I just took the book verses the movie at face value.

He saved a lot of lives doing what he did and for that I have the utmost respect for him and I will leave it at that.

Never go to the movies anymore myself. Too much subliminal and sometimes overt progressive propaganda, Goebbels methods are alive and well in modern America.

Even if the film itself is free from "messaging", If the actors have been preaching their ideology in the open or spreading untruths about 2ndA issues or immigration. I can't get past that and concentrate on the film.

I'm open minded too. If they just said when asked about politics say, Trump is un-Presidential or he doesn't stand for my ideals and leave it at that, that would be ok.

Problem nowadays is the Film industry is part of the Democratic Party complete with daily talking points. And those awards shows where they all pat themselves on the back for how brave they are making movies about social injustice, sexism or racism etc. like they are heroes in a big fight....

Then they use the platform to preach SJW crap and talk smack about . Old white Men!

In my mind they are perpetuating social problems in this Country. It's the plan.

I'll watch a movie on the TV occasionally but often never get through the whole thing.

News, History, Documentaries and commentary on these things are what I mostly watch.

Had a thread on another Forum about What you liked watching recently on Netflix?

Also what, (beside's gun channels) on youtube?

There's plenty of choices out there.
