Was in Brentwood today for the dentist, checked out Brentwood Wine and Spirits, they had Whistlepig 10 year so I grabbed Monkey 2 bottles. Was shocked at all the holes on the shelf, they must've sold a ton and haven't recovered yet.

What I'm working on.

I'm not the biggest Irish Whisky fan in the world, but I love Red Breast. Had it at a restaurant in Franklin at the recommendation of the bartender working that night and it really surprised me.

Bobs Liquor, 220 N Winston Rd, Knoxville, TN 37919[/size]

Went there today, the crown apple is almost 10 bucks less than what I've been paying. My son says the vodka he drinks is also a lot less. Didn't see Mike though.

Next time send him a message and find his schedule. He's a good man, always pleasant to visit with.

Eh, Mikes O K :) :)

I try to spend my alcohol budget at Bob's whenever I can. And shooting the breeze with Mike is an added bonus. As well as getting educated on something I may have not been aware of before about something hiding on the shelf.

Mike's top notch, even out of his smock :)

Had one of those days at work today..... was browsing this thread and a bottle of Weller special reserve followed me home. I'm partway through it and am impressed a $26 bottle of burbon is so good.

awww geez guys...... thanks...

Sorry I missed you Doc,  I work nights.  Give me a heads up next time, I'll make sure you and your son get our best prices.

As for Weller Reserve, 23 beans.

Went to the Greenbrier Distillery in Nashville and got a bottle of their Belle Meade Sherry Bourbon. This Bourbon is aged in former sherry barrels they import from France and gives it a hint of the sherry flavor. Quite good. Another of my favorites is Johnny Walker Blue Label. I was not a scotch fan until I had this. It is the most expensive booze I have ever purchased. I am planning a trip to Lynchburg  in May to go see Jack.

I saw a bottle of jack that was 499. I almost had a stroke.

I saw that too. I was tempted to buy it then put it in my safe. Might be a good way to diversify my investment portfolio. ;)

I bought my first whiskey the other day. I had tried some before but I bought a bottle of Jack Daniels Honey. I like it. Now, everyone can tell me that they shouldn't put honey in it and I should have bought something else.
