Last Saturday, June 9th, myself and a few friends took the first step towards getting our Handgun permits. We went to the Academy of Self Protection in Joelton and guess who wound up being our instruction, but our beloved Frank (ETS Inc.).

First, I want to say the facilities at ASP are top notch. The staff is very knowledgable, the range is nice, they have a great selection of guns, ammo, and accessories. The owner Rob is a great guy also.

Second, Frank was a great instructor. He kept the class interesting enough to not make it suck. He was a wealth of knowledge and brought a senior's point of view to everything.

I would definitely recommend both ASP and Frank to anyone wanting to get their permit.

How was that Frank?

Ok, so how much did he pay you to write that? :D

Congrats on taking the course, now the long wait begins!

Man, the check is in the mail.

(Just kidding guys.)

I do admit, I asked Chris to write a review of the class for you guys. Hey, he said he enjoyed the class, so I said he should write a review, so that you guys got an opinion from a student about the class. I can sit here and tell you that I am the best firearms instructor in the world, and that you'd be foolish to spend money with someone else. But, that doesn't mean much. (By the way, I don't think I'm the best. In fact, I freely admit that while I do have a good bit of knowledge, there is A LOT I don't know. In my opinion, that's the mark of an intelligent person - I know my limitations, and won't BS you if I don't know the answer.)

Chris, I'm glad you enjoyed the class. I hope you got a lot out of it. It was also good to see you at the show this weekend.

I took Frank's class and really got a lot out of it. I say that not because Frank is a friend of mine and (co-worker/boss man) but because he teaches a good class. The guys at ASP are also a great resource. I've recommend ASP to several friends, and think you guys should give them a look.

(beware the naked 300 pound machete weilding rapist)

Hey man, you don't know fear until you're face-to-face with a 300 lb, naked, machete-wielding pervert who wants to violate your body.
