Bought a JG Anshutz Flobert action single shot Karbine (thats what it says on the barrel) a few weeks ago. Have been trying to find out how old it is. Serial # 510XXX. Stock is beechwood with a schnable flare fore-end , sights are fixed, no provision for elevation. front sight is dovetail on a tapered barrel . Barrel length is about 23 3/4 inches & is inscribed JGAnschutz germaniawaffenwerk A.G.Zella-Mehlis/Thur . Would like to be able to post pics but don't know where to go get shown how to do it in terms I can understand. Desk top computer is too cumbersome & budget prohibits smartphone. Can take images on camera &know how to remove memory card to put images on computer but thats about as far as it goes.

No,this one is a bolt action single shot . Unfortunately ,I cannot attach pictures to an Email. I've tried & am going to get some learning asap . Not today.

22  long rifle it says  just north of the receiver on the side of the barrel. She likes CCI standard velocity .

That action reminds me of the Winchester 67, the way the receiver is split down the top.

Could this have been one of the training rifles for the Gestpo youth during WWII? Wife's brother-in-law showed me one several years ago and told me that is what it was used for. Bolt action 22lr and the stock was not walnut ,but that is about all  I remember about it.

Looks like it was made after 1914 and before 1950.
