I'm going to Louisville Ky day after tomarrow . What are some good burger and steaks places ? My wife likes burgers and steaks. It's our 22 year together and I'm trying to find a good steak place for supper that wont make me go broke and a good burger place for a mid day snack. Any information is appreciated.

Louisville sucks. If you are scared of living in Clarksville, Louisville will be your worst nightmare.

Have fun.

WOW !! We are going there to see a few cross stitch shops that she's been wanting to visit and just drive around and stuff.  Should I carry 2 pistols ? 😕

Ruth's Chris if you have the money. Le Moo is also well thought of. Guy Fieri has a place on 4th St. Drake's on Shelbyville Rd in St. Matthews has a good burger. Honestly as far as steak goes though, being a cheap guy, I really like Cattleman's. They are a local chain, similar in price to Texas Roadhouse (which is oddly enough also locally based.) Cattleman's has a salad bar, which is a dying art. There is one on Hurstbourne, but the mother store is in Shelbyville.

Stay out of the West End and you will be fine. I spend twelve hours a day in the `Ville on all sides. Never had an issue.

I still carry though. ;)

I was only joking about carry 2 guns . But we are going there to visit a couple of cross stitching shops that my wife wants to see. Plus I'm always looking for old cars along the way in peoples yards. I'm missing my old 89 Tercel. Mainly a trip to get away from the kids on our anniversary and avaioding the touristy type crap in Gatlinburg. Might even swing past Whittakers in Ownesboro on way back and eat some mutton at the Moonlight Café

It is in KY....that sums it up for me. Spent years getting sent all over the state by the Harlan based main office of the company I worked for. Lots of Super 8s (or much worse) and towns that no one ever heard of....

Around 3 years ago my wife and I went to Gatlinburg for our anniversary. We skipped all the touristy shops and stuff and just drove around looking at this and that. We walked up to Clingmans Dome just at the right time. I got a picture of her with the clouds below us and a rainbow coming up through the clouds. Pretty cool I think. I'll try to add the picture here. She'd have my a$$ if she knew I posted a picture of her. But I think the clouds below and rainbow shooting upwards was cool.

LOL . One time on the bad side of Memphis I wished I had 2 guns. Looking for some BBQ places back in the 90's when we were dating . No GPS and no cell phones. just paper maps and horsepower to get yourself out of potential trouble , LOL .
