It is Russian, I bet IF it gets here the tarriffs and such will price it out of competition.

Plus I am sure the tin foil hat guys will think that maybe Russia is using them as plants in the US for nefarious means.

How come they can't get away from the stlying of a Yugo or Lada?

Because like the US auto makers they also ran out of auto designers years ago and have gone the cookie cutter route also.............JMHO

It’s a crazy weird mix of modern styling and like 1958. I kinda love it.

The body style kinda reminds me a little bit of the old east German Trabants that we started seeing all over west Germany after the wall came down.  Seems like they had lawn mower engines and would get on the autobahn and go like 35 mph, lol.  One of them hit one of our Armed Forces Police American cruisers and the trabbie was totaled!  lol,  i went to the accident scene and it was made of what looked and felt like compressed cardboard.

Kalashnicar prediction: it’ll be cheaper, easier to make, and more reliable, but any time you want to change anything about it, even 50 years from now, an old Russian farmer will say "Nyet, car is fine!"

It is kinda cool in a ugly retro way.

Yes, you are right. But...I like it. I'm a sucker for wagons and powder blue creampuffs like this!

Its the ultimate retro soviet machine. And the 4x4 ladas are actually good off roaders. They even made radio standard in 2016(?)

But the three head lights have to go. And the glove box better be full of vodka. Archer style.

And the jokes keep going. I wish I could find the "flying" lada that I saw a few years ago. It was golden.

The funny thing is, the lada is a DIRECT copy of the fiat 124. Just infinitely cheaper. Which is a feat since the 124 was cheap enough as is.

Imagine taking a base model nissan versa. Now, make it cheaper. Thats lada.
