Having an old house, we will get a nest in the walls every year or two. Tape a shop vac hose right under their take off point, fill the shop vac with couple of gallons of water, turn it on and come back in couple of days to empty.

Not as sexy as a gallon of gas, but the house still stands.

We had one nest of bumble bees in insulation or kitchen. They would walk out to ledge in kitchen to take flight. A glue trap in their walk path for about a week finished hem off. Interestingly, the bees got smaller as the week went along. I suspect the last few days were the juveniles trying to find momma and poppa.

Honey bees aren't attracted to the meat. They might show interest if the bait is sweet and/or the trap is bright red or yellow, like flowers.

From that video, I put a little dish soap in the ant trap above my hummingbird feeder. I've noticed wasps will feed and then go drink from the water bowl. Maybe this will get them.

Yeah, I was talking about the non meat traps.

I just pour the gas in the hole, I don't light it. I usually pour it in and plug the hole with something like a walnut if possible. Do it at night.

Be careful.  I had a friend in the first grade killed when his dad hit a nest with gas and  the explosion came up from under him 20 feet away and engulfed him in flames.

He lived a couple of years, but ultimately the infections from the burns killed him.

I’ll leave this here.  I just saw this the other day and filed it away:

As a father of three, I don't think that I could lived with that.

It ultimately destroyed their family, too.

It's haunted me for almost 40 years.
