Here is a link to the NRA-ILA site for Tennessee. This summarizes gun-rights legislation acted on during the just-adjourned session of the General Assembly.

http://www.nraila.org/Legislation/Read.aspx?id=3108

From this page, you can go directly to the TN Legislature bill look-up page. Typing in the bill number (provided on the NRA-ILA site) will get you access to the bill action summary page. Clicking on the bill # or the public chapter # (in the case of legislation passed into law) will get you the actual text of the bill.

Quick summary of legislation signed by the Governor:

1) Expanded Castle Doctrine (in effect as of 6/1/07)

2) No Net-Loss (requires TWRA to maintain a baseline minimum amount of land available for hunting)

3) Emergency Powers (prohibits any state agency from further regulating firearms during states of emergency)

Quick summary of legislation that did not reach the Governor:

1) Expand right-to-carry to state parks/recreation

2) Expand right-to-carry to hunting lands managed by state.

The Governor did not veto any legislation this session.
