[FLASHLIGHTS] Streamlight Protac HL 5-X, Protac HL USB, Users?

I’m looking at these lights. Obviously for different applications. The HL 5-X would be used around the house; the HL USB would be for everyday carry. It’s a little big so I’m also considering the 2L-X USB for carry if I decide to go smaller.

I’m just using these as a standard flashlight, not a weapon light. I want USB rechargeable 18650 batteries in whatever I get.

I would appreciate anyone’s opinions that have these.

I have no experience with those particular models, but I have used other Streamlight products over the years and love them. Very high quality at reasonable prices. Tough as nails too. 

There's a very old Scorpion that still sees use around the house. When I was still working, a Stylus Pro was in my shirt pocket and used every day. And a Micro-Stream rides in my pants pocket as part of my daily carry gear. Despite hard, daily use, I've never managed to break one or wear it out. I highly recommend Streamlight.

I got my Streamlight PROTAC HL 5-X USB a couple of days ago. At 3500 lumens this thing is a monster amount of light in a reasonable size package. I really like this light but the “TEN TAP” programming and the switch sucks. Maybe I’ll get used to it.

I was going to also get the PROTAC 2L-X USB for my pocket carry light but after seeing the programming and switch from Streamlight I ordered the Fenix PD35 V2.0. It will be here next week.
