WW II era .45 ACP

I have been given a full unopened box and a partial box of .45 ACP manufactured by the Evansville Ordnance Plant in 1943. If any of you collect this sort of thing I would sell the full box, but I am going to fire a few of out of the opened box to see how reliable 66 year old ammo is. It looks OK and I think it will shoot just fine.

There was a ton of this stuff around a few years ago.

I bought a few hundred rds and it shot great. The primers are corrosive so you may want to clean a little better than normal.

IIRC the 640 rd unopened tins were selling for around 70.00 before all of it got bought up.

if it is corrosive be sure to clean the barrel with soap and water or some ammoniated window cleaner in addition to regular cleaning after shooting it.
