I have been given Westernfield (montgomery ward's brand) 16 ga shotgun model 22b fr 166a, and would like too know how old, and who made it.

I think it was made by mossberg back then but im not sure, I'll ck on Tuesday when I get back to work. Value is probably aroung $100 retail but I'll ck on that too.

thanks phillip, from what research i have been able to do i agree with mossberg, but what is the most important is how old, I will be waiting to hear thanks so much.

I have a Mossberg 195 16 ga with the c-lect choke that is from the late 50's I believe. From what you describe it is probably pretty much same gun so it is probably 50's to 60's vintage. Thats as far as I know. Maybe you could email Mossberg with the model and serno and they could give you an exact date. Hope this helps.
