Ok, who has the best formula for keeping piss ants off Hummingbird feeders. I go through this every year and I am sure by now someone has got a plan for keeping the little critters off them. Please share if you have any ideas!!!!!!!

They make a little upside down umbrella thing you can use. It’s filled with water and ants can’t get to it

Is a piss ant an actual type of ant?  I always thought it was a derogatory term for a insufferable little ####head.

All the ants are under the feeder, apparently I got the wrong feeders, mine are leaking so will need to get the bowl version.  I will look for the water barrier too when I shop for the new feeders.

Chalk works for me. Simply chalk the area around the hook your feeder hangs on. For some reason they are very reluctant to cross the chalk.

12a. w/ 00 Buck works well I'm told, close range of course. Read it on the internet, so..........

Ants are annoying wherever they are.

20 Mule Team borax around the base.......

It would be hard to put it around the base of a hanging bird feeder.

A buddy of mine told me what he does and it seems to be working. He said to get some white bearing grease and put a smal amount on my finger and put it around the hook hanger area and they won't cross it and it will last all summer.
